Writing Prompt #15 Write about Eden

 Eden was green and gorgeous

In my Children’s Bible

Mangos and berries

Butterflies as big as parrots

Trees and plants

Reaching up in praise to a

Sapphire sky

Eve a red haired hippie from the 70’s

And Adam, Cat Stevens with

Porcelain white skin

And emerald palm leaves pasted

Where necessary.

Or was Eden a rose garden entwined in a blackberry thicket?

And Eve a Cinderella

And Adam Price Charming and

I know there was an apple, but

There was also an apple for Snow White.

Bible stories and fairy tales

Twisted together as roots and branches

That grew into my truth

Snakes and apples

Fairy god mothers and holy spirits

A woman and a man

And a garden of choices.
